So, I’ve been pretty absent from this space over the past year. I’d love to blame it on the pandemic, but I don’t think that’s the honest truth. It’s been an interesting time and I’ve done a lot of growing. I’ll doubtless be sharing some of it with you in posts over the next few months. But I’m hoping to dive back in here and pick up where I left off.
Some things to look forward to:
1. Book reviews! I’ve actually been reading again. I even renewed my library card!
2. Stories from my life (including the worst first date I’ve ever been on!)
3. Rants
4. Advice – On life, writing, and more.
5. Pictures of cats
On this last point, let me introduce the newest members of my family, Reginald and Tallulah (Rex and Lulu for short). I adopted them last October when they were just over 2 months old and they have completely overtaken my house. They come from the same litter and have never spent a single night apart.

Rex is super sweet but not the sharpest tool in the drawer. At 10 months he comes in at a whopping 11 pounds. He is highly food motivated but also loves a good nap.

Lulu is probably the smartest cat I’ve ever owned. I would seriously be worried about her plotting world domination, except that she is terrified of everything. I can’t open my second story patio door without her hiding under the bed for hours. Just a moment ago, she puffed up because her brother jumped off a box behind her. She is fiercely independent and talks to me at all hours.

I’ll keep you posted on their progress! A 1st birthday party with my 8 year old niece is in the works!
Hope you’re all doing well! Stay safe!
Lulu’s coloring is just gorgeous! And that picture of them sleeping together is just adorable. ❤ My two cats are from the same litter, and they used to sleep together all the time, but, at seven years old, it's only ever once in a while. They do follow each other all around the house, though, and it's so sweet. I'll never have just one again. Wishing you lots of snuggles with them!

Thank you! Aww, your babies sound adorable! I agree, two is definitely better than one. I’m working from home right now and they already want my attention too much, I can’t imagine how it would be if they didn’t have each other to chase around!
